Dr. Sarojini Naidu

Dr. Sarojini Naidu is the founder and owner of Orchid Medical Clinic. Born and raised in Richmond BC, Dr. Naidu always aspired to become a physician and open her own clinic. She graduated from UBC with her Bachelors of Science in 2006, and continued to Ross University School of Medicine, completing her Medical Degree with honors in 2012.

Dr. Naidu did her medical residency at Northeast Iowa Medical Education Foundation in affiliation with The University of Iowa, and was chief resident in her final year, receiving an award for “most outstanding physician” in her graduating class. While doing her residency she participated in a research project that went on to win “Best Project” at the Iowa Family Medicine Research Symposium. She is also a Clinical Instructor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine. She is a board-certified Family Physician in both the USA and Canada. Dr. Naidu is trained and certified in cosmetic procedures such as Botox and Dermal Fillers. She is also a member of the BC Cancer Foundation’s Catalyst Ambassador Program and Orchid Medical Clinic is a sponsor for BC’s Workout to Conquer Cancer event. Dr. Naidu and the clinic also support local youth sports teams!

Dr. Naidu has worked in Richmond and Vancouver for years and recently decided to open a Medical Clinic in New Westminster, because she wanted to serve a community in need of more Family Physicians. She enjoys working in Family Medicine because of the variety of patients, from newborns to the elderly. She finds the doctor-patient relationship very important as it allows her to get to know each patient individually, enabling her to provide patient specific medical treatment.

When she is not helping patients in the clinic, Dr. Naidu spends her time with family and friends, working out, hiking, reading, cooking, and travelling. She enjoys watching basketball and is a huge fan of the Toronto Raptors!

Her favourite quote is  “Laughter is the best medicine”
